This past weekend, Kelsea Ballerini was the opening act for Keith Urban at their Grand Forks concert at Ralph Engelstad Arena. Ballerini even took the time to go on a ride along with UND's Campus Police.

University of North Dakota Police Department Lt. Danny Weigel tweeted at Ballerini early last week in hopes of getting the country singer to join him for a ride along.

Sure enough, Ballerini was completely down for the invite.

During the ride, Weigel and Ballerini handed out tickets each time they stopped. The tickets weren't the one you would expect from someone in a law enforcement vehicle, but instead, they were tickets to her concert.

Lt. Danny Weigel said of the experience:

It was just a fun experience and then to see the look on people's faces when she jumped out of the car and went and started talking to 'em and taking pictures. She never told anybody no for a picture, which was kind of cool to see.

The UND PD have tweeted at other artists in the past with the request, but this was the first time the invitation was accepted.
