Saturday, July 30th, Kiss will close out the North Dakota State Fair, but they're not the first classic rock artist to ever play the event.

Truthfully, this isn't even the first time Kiss has played the North Dakota State Fair, as they also headlined the event on July 24th, 2010.

Kiss isn't the only classic rocker to play the North Dakota State Fair more than once either. Both The Beach Boys, if you consider them 'classic rock,' and Def Leppard have played the North Dakota State Fair twice, according to Setlist.fm.

Did you know that one of the first classic rock bands to actually play the North Dakota State Fair was Rush? It's true. They brought their All The World's A Stage tour to Minot back in 1976. Blue Oyster Cult was also a part of the show.

In 1982, the North Dakota State Fair welcomed Joan Jett and the Blackhearts. The following year, 1983, Loverboy graced the stage in Minot. In 1984, it was Rock and Roll Hall of Famers (as of 2016), Cheap Trick.

Other classic rockers that have taken the stage at the North Dakota State Fair include Alice Cooper (2003), Mötley Crüe (2009), Foreigner (2012), Journey (2013), John Mellencamp (2014), and Aerosmith (2015).
