This nominee has been fighting a battle his entire life. He has Cystic Fibrosis, and two years ago had a double lung transplant. He and his fiancée planned on getting married in May. However, he is now experiencing chronic rejection of his new lungs. Because of this he had to leave for Arizona for an undetermined amount of time. They will do aggressive treatments, but if those don't work he will need another transplant, and is not able to come home until he either fights off the rejection or has another transplant.

Not only are they not able to have their wedding, but he will also not able to come home for any holidays. We do not know how long he will be gone, or if he will even make it through any of this. We said goodbye to him today knowing we may never actually see him again. Since they used the wedding deposit money to get there, but cannot get it back they will have to spend Christmas apart. This could be his last Christmas, and it would be a shame for him to spend it alone in a hospital.

He is very kind and helps people in any way that he can. He never complains about his condition, just does the best to make it through. He definitely deserves this.
