Soundgarden frontman Chris Cornell has revealed plans for a North American solo tour kicking off this fall. The intimate ‘Songbook’ tour will showcase Cornell’s acoustic arrangements of songs throughout his career spanning close to 30 years, encompassing his work with Soundgarden in addition to his other musical projects including Audioslave, his solo releases and his work with Temple of the Dog.

Kicking off on Oct. 15 at the Balboa Theatre in San Diego, Calif. the 30-date run will make its way to venues throughout the U.S. and Canada. Cornell will be bringing along Bhi Bhiman, an American/Sri Lankan folk artist, to provide tour support.

The 'Songbook' tour allows fans to experience a different side of Cornell as he performs acoustic arrangements of songs throughout his massively successful career. This will also be the first time that Cornell has performed any of his new arrangements from Soundgarden’s latest disc ‘King Animal’ as a solo performer in the States.

In addition to offering up great live music, the tour will be supporting a few great causes too. A portion of the ticket sales for the 'Songbook' tour will benefit the Chris and Vicky Cornell Foundation, a non-profit organization Cornell started with his wife to aid children in need. One dollar of every ticket sold will go directly to the foundation with additional funds being donated to ChildHaven’s Creative Music Therapy Program Expansion.

Cornell’s original 'Songbook' tour kicked off in 2011 and sold out very quickly. Tickets for the 2013 run will go on sale to the public on Aug. 16 with pre-sales beginning on Aug. 14. Visit Cornell’s website for more details and check out all the dates and tour stops below:
