Ground is set to break this October on the Minnesota Vikings new multi-purpose stadium and, yesterday, designer HKS and the Vikings released the official design of the new stadium with this video.

According to Yahoo! Sports, the stadium will seat 65,000 people, though it can expand to 73,000 for bigger events, like the Super Bowl.

Unfortunately, it will not have a retractable roof, which had been previously discussed. So, to still help bring in that natural light, the roof will be completely clear.

And, don't think the Vikings will be the only team playing in the stadium. It can be configured for other events like concerts and baseball games.

Once the stadium is built, the Vikings will just have to hope that Adrian Peterson can continue to carry the team for many years to come.
