Mandan Park District is offering a cash reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for the vandalism involving the spray painting of several buildings.

Mandan Police took four reports of vandalisms involving spray painting of four building on March 10th.

The buildings were the Mandan Eagles Park, located at Collins and 14th St, an apartment garage next to the Eagles Park, the Lewis and Clark Elementary School in the 600 block of 14th St NW, and the old Junior High Building on the 400 block of 4th St NW.

All had damage caused by spray painting. The vandals spray painted several pictures, words, numbers and symbols. The incident took place during the overnight hours of March 9th and 10th. The paint colors were red and green.

At Eagles Park, the building and the playground equipment were painted. Estimated damage is around five thousand dollars. This park was just recently extensively renovated to provide handicap access to the new playground equipment.

At the other locations, the spray painting was done on the sides of the buildings. An exact estimate of these damages has not been provided as of yet but could be several thousand dollars.

A $1000 reward is being offered by the Mandan Park District for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for this crime.
