Carson Wentz continues to rack up the accolades. His performance from this past weekend added one more.

The NFL named Bismarck's hometown quarterback, Carson Wentz, this week's NFC Offensive Player of the Week after he put up superb numbers for the Philadelphia Eagles in their 34-3 trouncing of the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The rookie finished with 301 yards on 23-of-31 passing, while throwing for two touchdowns. The Eagles are now 3-0 and are currently on a bye this week.

During his time off, Wentz has returned to North Dakota, which isn't a shock with North Dakota State playing their homecoming game this coming Saturday, October 1st, against Illinois State.

Denver Broncos' quarterback Trevor Siemian, also a rookie, was named AFC Player of the Week. He threw for four touchdowns and 312 yards in a 29-17 win over the Cincinnati Bengals.
