Monday morning (Apr. 27), Burleigh and Morton county lifted the burn ban that has been in effect since April 20th due to extremely dry conditions around the counties. Both counties still remain under the total burn ban issued by Gov. Dalrymple earlier this month.

The entire state of North Dakota was placed under a burn ban on April 13th by the Governor and will remain under the ban until it expires at 11:59pm on April 30th. Controlled burns are now allowed again in Burleigh and Morton Counties, but only after Emergency Management has been contacted about the planned burn, as well as Controlled burns need to be physically manned and monitored at all times.
