Johnny Winter Gives Final Interview to 96-5 The Fox [VIDEO]

Little did I know last month that when I got Johnny Winter on the phone to discuss his upcoming show in Bismarck, it would be the last interview he'd ever do.

As it was reported earlier today (July 17), Winter was found dead in his Switzerland hotel room at the age of 70.

Winter struggled with health and substance abuse issues for years, but had recently made a comeback. He performed on the stage of the Belle Mehus Auditorium just last month (June 20).

Winter was set to release his new album, featuring collaborations with Joe Perry, Billy Gibbons, and others, later this year.
