Bismarck’s Newest Baseball Team Needs a Name and Wants Your Help

The Northwoods Baseball League is establishing a team in the Bismarck-Mandan area to begin play in 2017. Unfortunately, this future team lacks a name.

This is where you come in. Between now and June 26 you can submit a name for the new team.

You can tweet your submission to Bismarck Baseball on Twitter or post it to the Bismarck Baseball Facebook page. They also encourage you to use the hashtag #NameYourTeam.

However, your submission only counts if you submit your team name on their official website and fill out the form at the bottom of this page.

I don't want to sway your vote. But I cast my vote for the 'Bismarck Mountain Chickens.' Mountain chickens are 100% a real thing. Except they aren't chickens. They are frogs.

But you can submit whatever name you'd like and promote your entry on social media. After June 26, the top 5 submissions will be put up for a vote online for fans.

Again, I recommend the 'Mountain Chickens' but you can choose whatever you want.
