According to a post on social media, Bismarck's Golden Corral, located at 3420 N. 14th St., has closed its doors and laid off its staff. Fortunately for Golden Corral fans, that's not true.

KFYR Radio took to Facebook earlier today (5/1) to announce that Golden Corral had closed their doors and laid off their staff:

A quick call to the Golden Corral, however, was all the confirmation that was needed to refute KFYR's report.

When asked whether or not the restaurant was closed, the man who answered the phone happily stated that he had '160 people in here right now and I'm talking to you from inside the restaurant.'

KFYR updated their original post a few hours later, claiming the restaurant will reportedly close and lay off staff, citing two sources.

UPDATE [5/2]: A sign on the door, pictured below, indicates that Bismarck's Golden Corral is now closed for remodeling:

There was no mention of when the restaurant would reopen.

The Bismarck Golden Corral reopened back in 2012, after being closed for a short period of time.
