Police Line Night_Scott Olson

A Bismarck burglary suspect was hospitalized over the weekend after being shot by two police officers.

The Bismarck Tribune reports the shooting took place Sunday evening outside a mobile home on University Drive.

Bismarck Police say theĀ 27-year-old Bismarck man was wanted for a recent burglary. Policemen encountered the man while following up on an alert from Morton County.

The report says the officers opened fire on the man after seeing him make a move they interpreted as reaching for a weapon.

Per department policy, the officers were put on administrative leave while the shooting is under investigation.
