Layne Sedevie's time with the Bismarck Bobcats is far from over, as the team announced earlier today (2/12) that they had agreed to a three-year contract extension with the head coach.

Sedevie joined the Bobcats during the 2009-10 season as an assistant coach, in which the team won their first Robertson Cup, before being elevated to head coach in 2011.

Since taking over as head coach, Sedevie has led the Bobcats to a record of 215-125-27, according to BismarckBobcats.com.

Sedevie becomes the first coach the Bismarck Bobcats have had under contract during Thom Brigl's ownership.

The Bobcats are currently in first place in the Central Division. They'll face the second place Minot Minotauros tonight at the VFW Sports Center. The puck drops at 7:15 p.m.
