It wasn't that long ago that Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan got to realize one of his dreams by signing on as the creative director of the Resistance Pro wrestling league. Now fans will be able to get a peek behind the curtain as AMC has signed on to create a still-untitled reality series about Corgan's involvement in the wrestling league.

A description of the show from a press release reads: "This compelling docu-series that pulls back the curtain in a way pro-wrestling fans have never seen. The series follows Corgan in his latest undertaking as creative director of Resistance Pro, a Chicago-based wrestling league. Corgan will take us behind the scenes of this fascinating world, from creating storylines to choreographing fights to managing intense post-match locker room arguments, and will reveal that the most dramatic stories often take place outside of the ring."

The show will play out over eight hour-long episodes, and while a premiere date has yet to be set, AMC is expected to debut the series within the next year. The series will be produced by Left/Right, who have worked on such series as 'Small Town Security,' 'This American Life' and 'Mob Wives.'

In other news, Corgan has just revealed a taste of 'Aegea,' an experimental solo double album he recorded back in 2007. The music surfaced at MadameZuZus.com and definitely falls outside the realm of what we've come to expect from Smashing Pumpkins. The three-minute preview is more synth and electronic based, providing a moodier overall vibe. Take a listen to the 'Aegea by WPC #3' snippet below.
