Saturday, August 1st, the lives of many North Dakotans will change, as 309 new laws go into effect across the state.

The new laws, which were passed by the 2015 Legislature, will impact everyone from gun owners to those looking to buy booze on Sundays.

Some of the new laws going into effect August 1st, according to the Washington Times, include allowing concealed-carry permit holders to bring their guns to public parks, rest areas, and liquor stores, as well as political functions and concerts.

The same bill also allows citizens to carry a single-shot stun gun, without having to get a concealed-carry permit.

As for purchasing booze on Sundays, restaurants will now be able to serve alcohol starting at 11 a.m., as opposed to noon. This law is in response to bordering states that allow the selling of alcohol earlier on Sundays.

There are also new laws involving marijuana, student journalists' free-speech rights, and drones.
